Four Social Media Sites You Should Be Marketing On

Social media isn’t going to go away anytime soon, and while there are many sites you could join to promote and market your business, there are a few that are more important and more popular to utilize than others.

Is your business on social media, and which sites are you on? Here are five of the sites you should be using if you want to get the most out of the internet and attract more visitors. When used right, each of these sites can build on your brand, attract more customers, and build awareness and trust in and of your brand.

Facebook

Facebook is probably one of the most popular social media sites on the internet, with the most amount of people to reach out to and gain followings with. Facebook really doesn’t have any competition. MySpace is rarely used anymore, even though it is still out there, and Google Plus never gained the popularity that it hoped.

You can use your Facebook business page to reach out to current and future customers with info on your products and services, tidbits on upcoming changes, sharing coupons and bargains, and even running contests to draw in new fans.

Twitter

Twitter is another great social media site with a lot of members. It’s a bit different, and less involved, than Facebook. That doesn’t make it any less useful, however. Twitter can be a fun way to let people into your day to day thoughts and processes.

Twitter is also a great place to share your website and blog links. Retweet things that relate to your business or interest you as a business to help you gain more followers as well.

LinkedIN

LinkedIN is made for business people and businesses. Your business can use this site to get their name out there, find future employees, and just to show people what you are all about. It doesn’t matter what type of business you have.

If you sign on as an individual, such as the CEO of your company, you can also use it to make personal contacts, share your resume, and more. It also allows you to endorse your friends, employees, and coworkers, and lets them endorse you as well.

Instagram

Instagram is basically the new kid on the block when it comes to social media being used for businesses. You may think it’s not an important outlet, but Instagram allows something different, it lets your business be even more visible in a new market. More visible because it is letting people see your business, not just read about it.

Make sure that you are giving your business the attention that it needs by using social media in your marketing scheme. It will definitely help you get your name out there, and it just might (hopefully) bring you more sales.
