Disasters, fortuitous events and some unforeseen happenings can dictate the way the market will react to such circumstances. One such event, the oil spill crisis concerning Petron Oil Spill in the Philippines today. While it is not really a kept secret that oil supplies are becoming expensive by the day, corporate reliability and responsibility still remains above everything else. These responsibilities, especially when they become publicly exposed to the public will not only face insights such as gross negligence, but unwanted media attraction. Worse, lawsuits and demands are unwanted expenses and image tarnishers that will surely become setbacks for such oil company giants as Petron.
Considering the local setting of the economy of the Philippines, most consumers and car owners would care less, as long as their supplies are met. However, counting on the environmental aspects of such a dilemma will have various forces breathing down their neck for the mess that was caused. That is why internal audits should be immediately done beforehand since such responsibilities in the environment of any country should taken care of with extreme attention.

Through the course of going through the motions of finishing college studies and finally walking through the aisles and securing their long-deserved diplomas, one thing that would normally play in the minds of most new graduates is on what type of work they will eventually find themselves into. For sure, job fairs and employer invitations will be coming from all directions, since injecting new blood into the different corporate organizations is a usual practice to help inject new blood and ideas as well.
No doubt, some new graduates will aim high, and rightfully so. While this may not be feasible at first, some would the type of job or occupation they are getting themselves into. And of course the matter of the offered benefits and the compensation package is another thing that will eventually make or break the deal of binding an employment contract between the company and the prospective individuals.
Realistically, new graduates should content themselves with starting at rank and file positions. Clerical or sales executive positions would usually be the first positions they will find themselves into. Experience is the factor that best describes why new graduates should be initially content with these initial corporate positions. The process, procedures and work flow need to be inhibited towards new corporate employees above all and identifying if they are capable of providing help and benefits towards the corporate cause. But then again, new graduates are most of the time not familiar with the actual corporate setting at first but given ample time, their true calling as to the nature of work they are destined to follow.

Relying solely on current product lines may not immediately reap the necessary profit margin that most people would look for today. While it is true that current rosters in the product lines need to be fully saturated and enhanced in the market today, the question remains, what is next?
This is perhaps a question that most people would surely expect at some point in time. For example, while the Chin Chin Black Gulaman has not really dominated the market despite minimal threats coming from its closest rival in Joy Black Gulaman which only lasts 7 days, the whole ordeal has been left towards the product making a name for it. Chin Chin Black Gulaman has without a doubt already set a name for it, but unfortunately the problem lies on the proper product tutorial with regards to knowing what Black Gulaman really is. Ideally an oriental drink that complements meals in most restaurants locally in the Philippines, informing the people of its concept and allowing them to bring home the said product in a masterfully designed bottle is the only lacking need to really lift the product to new heights. Placement in the market is surely saturated and it all lies on how people will try and endorse the said product to make the black gulaman business rise to new heights today.
The next step is to shift to a new product line, perhaps to snacks or candies. There is one product that really caught my fancy, and this is the tongue spray candy. Having focused on the adult beverage business, it is about time to heed the call for unique concepts aimed at the younger population. Biscuits, crackers and chocolate rolls in uniquely conceptualized packages are sure to be the next boom. To date, the final decision making process is in the works, but from all indications, this will be a follow-up to the already unique concept that Black Gulaman has started 2 years ago in the Philippines.

A successful business would usually take time before everything would be put into place. Continued product offering, meetings, and brainstorming for strategies to help place a company among the number of successful business enterprises in the area to which they are marketing today is something that starts from a nightmare towards a fulfilling reality once the immediate agreement for the carrying and placement of the product has been closed out. But the business venture does not really end here. The continued safekeeping of goods and the promotional support to be allocated in order for the products to maintain their current market stature and market positioning need to be attended to, since being satisfied by being in the market shelves may prove to be critical and a point against the business entity at some point when they would least expect it.
Bribes, discounting, promotional giveaways and bonuses are among the usual components that are included in such business ventures. Just like for imported goods like the Black Gulaman of Merlion International Sales, Inc., competitive prices are hard to live on, considering that the cost of manufacturing overseas is something that most people fail to realize and would not really care about since local manufacturers can have a product done at lesser cost. While quality is what most overseas businesses would promise, the impact that such would have on local consumers is useless as long as they are able to find alternative and substitutes to products such as bottled Black Gulaman drinks that is slowly making its mark into the local consumer minds of the Philippines. Chin Chin Black Gulaman offers an ideal packaging design and concept that originates from Taiwan, the Black Gulaman Jelly Bits of which is the driving factor since product life is what makes most carrying outlets wary of putting them on hand. However, with the unique production that Chin Chin Black Gulaman has employed, such is sure to be a tough act to follow, considering people can only expect manageable costs for a quality made product such as that perceived by the Chin Chin Black Gulaman.

The first thing that will come into the minds of most people is that of seeing something unique and different that will surely catch the eye of the consumer market. Color, shape, unique concept when it comes to the overall product presentation are the immediate identifying factors that will be at the forefront of catching the eye of the market consumers and helping the business flourish in the manner that the forecasts made by strategic developing business partners had initially seen it to be.
Product presentation is the mirror-like image that a business venture would want to project towards the market it wants to penetrate. This is why the support and quality control coming from the selected employees and workers tasked to do the necessary inspection and prior-to-release overall product acceptance and appearance is quite critical. Employees with this inevitable task of being able to ensure that unwanted problems such lack of cleanliness, deformed packaging, sealing problems and such should be closely monitored in the production row before delivery to affiliate carrier outlets.
The entire business operation process seems complicated, but all it really needs is close monitoring and guidance. The overall business effort together with the positive worker attitude towards delivering the proper job expectations from such hired laborers are combined to set out an overall mix that will surely be the weighing scale between successful business operations and marketing proficiency for ambitious corporate organizations who dream of having business empires today locally and globally.

For retail distribution of consumer goods, the Christmas season is one of the busiest seasons most companies look forward to, both in serving and ensuring that the goods are available in the market. Christmas baskets, Christmas giveaways and Christmas support are among the common requests that most stores would solicit from product distributors, giving due focus on issues towards the cliché that Christmas is a time for giving.
Most people would troop the groceries, convenience stores and other placement channels during the Christmas season, either for personal consumption or to act as giveaways as well. While such is a welcome site, for manufacturing and distribution companies like Chin Chin Black Gulaman and Powerbits, Absolute Distilled Drinking water and Fortune Tobacco Corp., marketing and promotional items for giveaways is sure to be the busiest departments in a company for them to be able to satisfy the increased demand at this time of the year. The peak season as it is often known, Christmas is a rewarding part of the year, not only for the company in its sales drive, but towards the consumers as well for their continued endorsement and patronage of the said products.
Such time of the year entails giving out bonuses to the employees that include their 13th month pay and corporate bonuses. But for the company as a whole, the real bonus is really for the increased purchase orders and sales that they accumulate during the year, something that is perhaps not measurable compared to the normal orders that the business has experienced in normal business year.

Perhaps the most common thing that runs in the mind of most people is what business to start and get into. For some, this is something that is quite hard to quickly decide on, but the secret to starting any business really lies on the interest of most people, the things to which they can consider themselves best and where they specialize on. Successful businesses are usually born from creative minds and most successful entrepreneurs can attest to the fact that the secret to any successful business venture is focused on the things that they love to do and feel comfortable with.
Businesses cover a wide range of possibilities, which include retail merchandising, food and beverage, consumer electronics and work specialization. The business possibilities are indeed endless, but a successful selection of business with the proper support and concentration will reap profitable results and carve out niche marks for business professionals who target dreams that anyone will always gear towards achieving.
Food and beverage ventures are usually the immediate business propositions that people would consider. Successful business undertakings that have started from such theories include restaurants such as Dencio’s, Krocodile Grill, Grilla, Old Spaghetti House, and Pancake house, all dining restaurants that have stepped out of the shadows of the wider known restaurants ranging from fast food chains such as McDonalds, Jollibee, Wendy’s, Burger King and Teriyaki Boy in the Philippines. While a built brand image for the food and beverage industry takes out a load with regards to building brand awareness as far as food and beverage businesses are concerned, some aim to defy the odds and aim to make names for themselves as well, most of which have been successful as long as they are able to properly segregate the market and cover the market scope.
Marketing boost in the form of advertising and promotions may not necessarily be the immediate need for any business venture to become a hit. Rather, word of mouth and participating in solicitation campaigns from schools, affiliations and good causes are informal but effective ways of informing potential market consumers that such businesses ventures exist. Although minimal promotional schemes may be considered, the premium of focus should adhere to the actual consumer market that the business wants to attract. Compared to the high end class who would aim for a larger population base, it will all boil down to budget allocation and the able financial support that a company can spare, as long as target quotas are met and satisfied for the benefit of the entire business effort and undertaking.

The Philippines is truly rich and talented with regards to Filipinos who have the unique talent and skills that most countries would die to have. It is very common to this day that graduates and successful career enhanced individuals would go for work abroad rather than staying here to get their feet of the ground. After some time, it is quite funny how local companies and people would look for them and finally realize what a Filipino can truly do.
This is really more focused on local newspapers and magazines who still follow the old recruitment ways of filling up their personnel requirements. Writing for example will not be entertained if they do not have degrees in Journalism or Education. These requirements are truly something that most companies use as their basis for selecting people rather than the actual work output that most people would have. It did not even occur to them that talented writers and composers may have opted to choose another course in college or MBA but really have to natural capabilities of becoming good writers today. Writing may be a past time for them, and being good with a bunch of words and writing unique content as based on opinions and supported by minimal research, most writers originate and grow from such tactics. Truth of the matter is, a lot of Filipinos can be traced working online abroad, doing article writing work, blogs, and unique compositions, each earning in foreign currency rather than to the peso value which is surely low and unacceptable.
Just a few months ago, people were asking me why I chose to write for the foreign countries like the United States and the United Kingdom. My straight answer was that these companies appreciate and provide better opportunities rather than the local newspapers that include Inquirer and Manila Bulletin. Locally, they still follow the old schematics of hiring personnel so is it surprising why most writers would rather bring their gear and serve other countries as well?
It is only typical and natural for home based organizations to overlook people. They are still stuck in the ancient realms of tradition to which has contributed into holding back evolution of the country in all aspects of development. People are getting wiser nowadays and following the lead of old fuddy duddies is something that will also hinder career growth as well. Why write for companies that opt to recruit well-known personalities for the sake of marketing their publications over unique and quality writers that offer a lot of things in their minds? It is purely becoming a marketing effort to promote the name of publications rather than what they really contain. To cut a long story short, the important thing of gaining impact towards the consumers as far as seeing and reading what can easily be understood rather than sticking to traditional ways of management and writing.
My parting message? Just don’t be surprised why one day you will run out of good writers who would want to work and contribute to you…they may have grown out of their shell already and may be building on personal branding and career development, something that takes ages for local bred talent to realize that opportunity knocks and the doors and minds need to be opened.

Most companies would employ the usual means of determining on how competitors and small time players would react to various reactions towards the market they are catering to. A lot of the immediate response would be geared towards product quality and product pricing, largely depending on the culture of the chosen area of concern. The impact on consumer acceptance will depend on their beliefs, but in most cases, product pricing is something that occupies more than 50% of how consumers will become interested in such products which can range from immediate goods up to the non-basic needs that most people look for to be able to satisfy their daily needs in order for them to survive and become efficient people today.
For sure, other market players have already prepared for this and are making hypothesizing strategies on how to think like their target consumer market. This is where promotions and proper budget allocation towards the aggressive marketing strategies that companies can afford to promote will step in. In a nutshell, the battle here seems on how much marketing investment as far as advertising and promotional support companies are willing to give to the product that will eventually make or break their goal overall. Any company that wants to cover a wide area and gain a larger share of the market will need to make risks, and this is the form of larger investment sums for the sake of product development and brand building strategies. There is no such thing as success in the lines of conservative planning corporation who have made it successfully in the business world today. There will always be a need for those pushes for them to be able realize fantasies and business dreams that most entrepreneurs and management teams look forward to whenever they engage in business ventures of any nature.

For most people who have an eye for aiming high and going global into the market and penetrate most countries outside their local market is a rather big step as far as expanding their business in new territories that cater to different culture and society. Such efforts are expected to reap dividends and larger profit margins in the sense that building on the product’s hype and branding efforts are only some of the just marketing paraphernalia that companies can expect to get back in return for such potent investment opportunities. Only a handful of companies with daring and higher stake management executives can be expected to aim high for the organization’s sake. This is one reason why larger corporations that include Nokia, Sony, San Miguel, Microsoft, Honda and Pepsi-Cola have penetrated most markets in the world, being among the household names that people will immediately remember once a particular product or object is seen.
The investment opportunity by most organizations is not as easy as most ambitious people would see it. It entails a lot of study and sacrifice in the financial and strategic aspect of managing a business. Earning potential as well as return on investments from entering such risky investments in business processing is something that most management teams and personnel should take into consideration prior to actual finalization of such. Hence, the need for people who specialize in the various fields to do the necessary study and data gathering for enhanced management decision and criticism is needed, since the step towards the larger market is something that only the well-armed and equipped corporations are ready to take on.
